Last Friday I was laid off from the many years I spent working with homeless youth. 15 people had their jobs eliminated. The non-profit sector is really hurting and it is sad to think that the homeless are losing services and access. Yesterday I didn't make it to flamenco class, I got off work late and knew I couldn't make it on time. I still wanted a good work out so I started pushing my way home up Broadway. The Experiment- Going for a week without my car in order to see how I feel about getting rid of my car entirely. This would save me 500$ a month!
