About Me:

Started going to Burning Man from Athens, Ohio in 1997 when a friend who had stumbled across the event on a road trip the summer before came back and had no words to describe what he had experienced - I've missed a year or two since then for good reasons like traveling around the world, or learning to SCUBA dive in Africa, or buying 36 acres in the Colorado Rockies, but I digress. After a few years I couldn't take it anymore and life took me to SF where I livef for near 7 years, and worked for Burning Man in a number of capacities, from managing the box office for off-playa events, to project managing the Lamplighters, to three plus years spent transforming the Black Rock Arts Foundation into a a subsistence level organization to one that is pushing the envelope of community-based public art. In June 2007 I moved from SF to a chunk of land I now call home just outside Salida, Colorado. I still contribute to the Burning Man Project as part of the Regional Network/Outreach staff and am currently working with the Colorado Regional Contacts to help unite the many communities in Colorado to bring elements of the culture (and not just the party) back home to the Rocky Mountain State.
