Go to BM in style this year. Imagine being in your own yummy, “this is my palace on the Playa” home. A place to regroup in the cool A/C in the middle of the day, the experience of waking up without Playa in your mouth (don’t get me wrong, I love Playa mouth- but on my terms please), a gas stove and oven (grilled cheese, nachos, pasta, can you smell it??), a mirror and decent lighting to get all dolled up for your night out in BRC Yes-experience the Play on your terms (how am I doing? any interest peaking??)
Did you rent out your place for DNC and have some extra cash? Did you get bonus or have some other blessing of abundance come your way? Treat yourself to the good life on the Playa! (ok, that was cheesy)
OK… I’m still juggling lots of details. I’m (obviously) still trying to generate steam to fill my RV. I had my sights on a great camp, but doesn’t look like I’m gonna be able to make that one work, I haven’t given up completely, but I need to move forward with other options, as the clock is ticking.
I have two people for a nice RV and I’m looking for 3-4 more. At 5 total (RV sleeps 8) the week is going to be somewhere between $500 and $540 (ALL costs, generator, cleaning, etc- just not gas, I’ll explain). For 6 total it will be between $450 and $500. Not bad for the luxury existence in a beautiful Playa Home for a week. Seriously. Think about it.
That’s the cost on RV alone. Gas is going to be around $200-$220/pp, which if you do the math is about what you’d spend in ANY vehicle (including my nice Honda). Anyway, I’m not worried about getting riders- there are plenty of those (but feel free to let me know if you’re interested).
In my previous post I said I couldn’t take gear, but that doesn’t make sense- of course we’ll take your gear. I just can’t promise to take your bike, but everything else (within reason) we’ll pack and just have to get creative about it.
So you can do the RV (and find another way to the Playa if that suits you) OR you can join us for the ride (although I think we’re almost booked for that… we’ll see) OR you can do both (renters will get at least a $50 discount on gas).
So I’m fishing for interest. I was tempted to drone on about what a week on the Playa with SuperCraig would be like…but that didn’t seem very modest… but let me say there is ZERO chance you would be disappointed ;)
Let me know if you have any interest, or if you KNOW of anyone who has any interest (I’m even playing with the idea of a “referral/finders” fee.. I’m not past doing so…) please pass this along and let your friends know who sent them this… I DO want to screen for respectful, responsible and easy going people. This RV will be a drama-free zone. There will be no space for drama here ;)
OK… Let me know… oh, and if you just know someone who has room in THEIR RV.. I’m game for that too. I ‘m happy to pay someone else.
I am so excited about the journey to Black Rock City… I’m having trouble sleeping at night… we’re going home…. Sweet.
