Apogaea is almost a week away and this is a plea for YOUR help! There are Info Booth, Parking, GreeNer and DPW positions still in need of filling! Already signed up to volunteer? Ask your friends if they have signed up and persuade those that haven’t.
Some ask, “why should I volunteer when I have to pay to go to the event?” Apogaea is a COMMUNITY event. The profits go back into Art Grants for next year. The board members, advisors and leads are not paid a penny. When you volunteer, you take a huge load off the crew that work countless hours to put on this festival You will get some very cool volunteer schwag when you show up to your shift. . The theme is COMMUNITY Spirit. . . sign up for a shift and persuade your friends to do the same!
Here are the areas where we REALLY NEED YOUR HELP:
INFO BOOTH: You get to hang in Center camp, chat with people who stop by and be the oracle to their questions. NO EXPERIENCE necessary.
GreeNers: Want to help make Apogaea the FIRST regional burn that is going green? Karmalicious can use your help with composting and collecting recycling. Sign up UNDER THE INFO BOOTH SECTION at: www.apogaea.com/volunteer.php
PARKING: Help Apogaea make more space for camping by volunteering with the Parking committee. You get to walk around, see the attractions and direct people to the best place to park their vehicles.
GATE: Help collect waivers, check Ids, give out wristbands and get attendees on their way to the greeters station!
DPW! (Department of Public Works) Help Set-up and Tear Down for the event. F*kin’ Lee NEEDS YOUR HELP and can use your smart hands for the following:
*At the work weekend is this Friday/Saturday/Sunday: You will be contributing to Fire prevention, setup and organization for Apogaea.
*Wednesday before the event: Work with Fuckin’ Lee with last minute DPW needs
*AFTER APOGAEA: want to Stay later on Sunday or till Monday afternoon? Your help is REALLY NEEDED on these days.
