Thunderdome-- ever the site of 'hanging by hooks' ritual?

At BMan 2007 I witnessed a ritual ceremony at the large dome venue located at ~2 o'clock and Esplanade wherein a young man was suspended by hooks in his back and then lifted to fly over the crowd. It was beautiful and terrifying at the same time. A friend of mine has recently said that she saw this same type of ritual performed at the Thunderdome. Can anyone confirm or refute this?

2 and esplanade was about where thunder was last year, not sure i f that was where you saw that but could be
