APOGAEA WORK WEEKEND AND BBQ/POTLUCK
The Apogaea Family of incestuous relations lovingly invites you up to Happy Ass Ranch May 30th & 31st. We will be preparing the land for our big ramble. Come up and camp or just come up for the day. Our fantastic emperor of the BBQ will be cooking up a fine slab of vittles for Saturday night. We encourage you to bring a dish and join us. Please know that we are working this weekend. IF you’re just wanting to come up and have fun, please save it for the following weekend.

Online ticket sales are happening now! There will be walk-up outlets around the state. See below for sales info. Deadline for the $50 tickets will be Midnight, May 31, 2009. you will also be required to complete a three hour volunteer shift of your choosing during the event if you are awarded a scholarship ticket

GREENING APO
In an effort to keep waste down and follow the path of self-reliance, we are encouraging everyone to bring their own cup to Apogaea this year. Let’s try to avoid any kind of disposable cups. Let’s also try to avoid plasticware. Second hand stores are a great place to pick up sets of silverware that you can use or better yet, gift!
There will also be recycling bins set-up around Apo Town. Please use these ONLY for recycling materials. Self-Reliance is really your own responsibility and so is your trash. Help keep Apogaea and the Planet magnificent!

LAMPLIGHTERS
Lamp lighters are coming to Apo, well sort of. There will be no gas lanterns, no solemn ceremony, and no robes. However, there will be lots of silliness, noise, mayhem and super heroes. The lamp lighters will be meeting each night at 7:30 at the Forbidden Fruit tent, for about an hour. It’s BYOC – bring your own costume.
Volunteer to be a lamplighter. We need volunteers for the following…
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 7:30 PM for about an hour
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Morning – to take lights down and recharge

Lamplighting Themes – Dig out those costumes and pack them up the hill…this is gonna be GOOD!
- Thursday – Santa
- Friday – Ninjas
- Saturday – Superheroes

CAMPING, CAR CAMPING AND PARKING – MUY IMPORTANTE!
We will be enforcing all parking, camping and car camping guidelines this year. Let’s not clog up the beautiful scenery, art, theme camps or naked people with our vehicles.
- CAR CAMPING AND RV PARKING - will be located at the top of the hill, near the gate. Please abide to this location. You will be asked to relocate if we find you amongst the organized chaos AND you WILL be SPANKED!
- PARKING – When you arrive at Apogaea, please find your camping location, unpack your car, and then drive your car to the lower field (past the fence), The Stratosphere or other designated parking areas. These will be on your map that you receive at the gate. Again, You will be asked to relocate if we find you amongst the organized chaos AND Yes, you WILL be SPANKED!

PRE-APO BURN BARREL WORKSHOP
Fire! Fire! - Come help us make burn barrels for Apogaea and make one for yourself!
$10 gets you a barrel and all the instructions to prepare it for your backyard. We would love to keep a few for Apogaea, and of course you won’t be charged for those, unless you want to donate the $10.

It’s growing and rambling and about to explode!!! Theme Camps, Art Projects, Music, Performance’s, etc. have been filling our IN Boxes all week. Nothing like getting it registered at the last minute. While the website might not be completely up to date, there is still a ton of stuff there and be prepared…there’s a hell of a lot more!
